Passage 66
Cynthia Watson was very loyal to her employer and when she heard Regina and Roger confession on why her former master Gregory was dead she felt a certain way about it. She had always suspected foul play but never had confirmation. From the day Gregory brought home Regina she didn't like how she never said please or thank you. Never cared or was considerate of anything she did towards them.
The original staff had served generations of Zehetii's and they were always treated well and even invited to dinners during the holidays . Gregory Zehetii's was one of the best they served. When Regina arrived she got into confrontations with three of the women that were Gregory's personal maids since he was a teenager out of jealousy she fired them on the spot as soon as Gregory left and said the women were rude and disrespectful.
Once upon a time there was great respect within the Zehetii's household and it was a saught out job to have. The Zehetii's offered generational careers . When Regina fired the set of cousins names Lisa and Evelyn the rest of the staff was soon to follow. Regina didn't like any woman around Gregory she only tolerated Cynthia because she was like a mother to Gregory since she practically raised him and his uncle from birth.
Now the Zehetii household consisted of one driver two cooks and three maids . Cynthia had to run the house since the butler grew fed up with Regina and left without giving her a warning. Regina was demanding and spoiled. She was inconsiderate and she was rarely told no if you wanted to keep a job. When Gregory was alive he smooth over problems and rotate the staff to stay clear of Regina . Now he is gone they all started dropping like flies.
Cynthia loathed Regina and Alexander was spoiled just like her. You didn't tell Alexander no or Regina would fire you . Cynthia understood it wasn't Alexander's fault he was the way he was it was Regina's. Cynthia was looking for a reason to get rid of regina. She saw a lot of things happen in that house and Regina pretended like she didn't have a staff around when she murdered those two women. Cynthia wasa silent witness to all the hideous things she saw Regina commit.
The day they found Liliana's body in the Barry complex Regina didn't care she needed to go identify the body. She had to call her son to identify the body for her. When Cynthia heard she was on the defending side of the Barry case and also his friend she knew this woman was pure evil . She knew if she told everything she knew alot of people would be in trouble. From Victoria ,Roger,Ryder, even that lawyer Christopher.
But right now she wanted to get Regina and only Regina for betraying Mr. Gregory. Mr. Gregory didn't ever treat Regina bad. He was a gentleman . When his father died Cynthia basically raised him. Mr. Gregory treated that spoiled harpy better than she deserved and what did he get in return. A cheating wife as his best friend fathered a child with and he was wrongfully murdered by the same best friend. If Mr. Gregory had married Bethany none of this would ever had happened.
Cynthia liked Bethany. The Zehetii's and the Brunos always were in good humor with each other. Cynthia was happy when Mr. Gregory announced his pending wedding to Bethany. But when he brought Regina home she was thoroughly disappointed that she didn't get to embrace Bethany and now she has a selfish tramp living in Mr. Gregory's mansion with a child that carried his name that wasn't his child at all.
Cynthia found the paperwork that the lawyer sent as she looked at the number on the order. She punched the number in the phone as she called the contact number.
" Anders law firm ." Answered a woman in a sweet honey voice.
"Yes . I need to make an appointment with Mr. Anders. It's pertaining to the Zehetii's perternity suit ." Said Cynthia .
" One moment I'll let me see what is available. Ahhh Wednesday he will be able to see you may I have your name?" Asked the secretary.
" Cynthia Watson ." She said as she knew it had to be done .
Meanwhile sunny was moving in warm ups as she was shoved from behind by another girl. Sunny shook it off and ignore the other girl as she readjusted her posture. Sunny told Axel she didn't like the girls in ballet and she went back. This was month three and she felt she was greatly improving on her foot work even axel said her placement had much improved.
Sunny knew she wasn't going to be no swan lake or anything magnificent .she was only taking classes to work on her footwork. Axel had been taking Caden and Sunny into the gym twice a week to practice as he thought it be a good outlet for Caden to deal with his moma being gone and he was too cooped up in the house outside of school.
Sunny had been training with Paul as Axel trained Caden . Paul taught her many things including controlling ones temper . Sunny put her leg on the beam to stretch out for high jumps for the day. Today's lesson was high jumps and landings. The same girl shoved sunny off the beam as she laughed as she did it .
" I'm so sorry I didn't see you there?" Giggled the girl with her two friends who had been dancing for years. Sunny bowed her head to brush it off and resumed her stretches.
" I don't know why she even tries so hard she is the worst one here. She is so clumsy and a walking hazard look at that awful hair . What color is that . It looks like spaghetti sauce in her hair. Besides she looks weird. She is so fat and ugly too." Snickered another girl in the group .
" The key word is tries. Don't talk about me like I'm not here." Remarked sunny as she held her leg above her head. She ignored the other mean comments about her appearance as she knew they were just being mean about her looking different.
" Gee. I wish my mom could buy my way in this class like yours. I got in on talent how about you girls. I suppose some talentless losers are allowed in as long as their mom is rich and can donate to the studio . " Snickered the girl who pushed sunny.
Sunny closed her eyes as she tried to ignore the fact they were talking about her mother. she remembered how Paul said being in your head is the worst place to be in a fight. Sunny breathed in and hot trying to calm down.
" How do you know she is rich when she dresses like she shops at a thrift store. Her ballet shoes aren't even the good ones either." Snickered another girl. As they shoved her leg off the balance beam .
" I'm so sorry I lost my balance my bad." Said another girl in a fake apologetic tone.
" I heard that man who comes and picks her up isn't even her real dad. Must be sad growing up like that . You know without an actual sad to love you?" Sassed another girl. Sunny's eyes popped open and she spun around as she pushed the girl who said it harder then she should the girl fell into the floor as the other girls gasped in shock . Sunny thought that was the last insult she was going to endure about her momma and Axel.
The little girls began to cry as she hit the floor as another girl rushed her from the side and Sunny moved out of the way as she tripped over the girl in the floor as they tangled up. Just then the original girl pushed sunny from behind and Sunny grabbed the girl in a head lock and began to wail on her as the instructor had to break it up as she grabbed Sunny's arm and put her outside the studio locking the door .
Axel showed up as Sunny sat sulking on the bench outside as he usually had to go inside to get her since sunny was always the last to leave as she liked to work on her errors after class . Sunny was one of the hardest working dancers and harder on herself.
" Sunny what's going on?" Asked Axel concerned . As Sunny had her arms folded in frustration.
" They kicked me out of class said I wasn't allowed back." Said sunny with her arms folded.
Axel banged on the door as the instructor stopped class as she came outside to talk to Axel. The instructor looked mad.
" I'm sorry Mr. Jing we can no longer accept sunshine in our class this year until she learns not to put her hands on other participants during class." Stated the instructor.
" Well what did the other participants do to Sunshine. " He asked knowing sunny wasn't easily provoked. " I know my daughter she don't fight with anyone at all." He added confused why the teacher kicked her out .
" It doesn't matter she is no longer welcomed here. " Said the instructor all snooty.
" It does matter. I didn't realize this institute promoted unfair explanations. " Defended Axel.
" Well she did today please leave." Demanded the instructor as he saw three girls smiling and gawking as the whispered pointing a t sunny. Axel wasn't slow as he put together it wasn't a random one on one fight. He knew those three girls had something to do with this.
" Well is the other girls also being kicked out and punished or is it just my daughter?" Demanded Axel. As the three girls stoped laughing as stood still.
" She hit them they didn't touch her " protested the instructor.
" We both know that isn't true. Even words counts as a hit." Said Axel as he glared at the instructor as she tried to hold her ground as she finally felt intimidated as she closed the door rapidly as she locked the door and pointed to leave.
Axel knew this was wrong but the instructor made up her mind. He knew he didn't know what happened and he had an idea . Sunny got in the car as she sat in the back seat to sulk . Axel looked in the rear view mirror as he turned into the gym.
Sunny looked puzzled as it wasn't her day to train. " Come on sunshine let's get suited up and talk this out ." Said Axel holding open the car door for sunny to get out.
Sunny got out as she went straight to the locker room as Paul looked at Axel as it was his off day. Axel shook his head at Paul not to interfere. Sunny came out as he grabbed the warm up gloves and he jumped in the ring an d kneeled down knowing sunny was angry from today.
" Right here sunny. Tell me what happened today in dance class?" Said Axel holding up his gloves . Sunny didn't want to hurt Axel it wasn't his fault she got mad at those three girls making fun of her.
" Sunshine I will not ask you again. Right here let it out tell me what happened?" He said as he braced himself for her temper. He remembered when Avery started fighting how her fist were her therapy. He remembers how perpetually angry Avery was where she ware down the padding in a glove when she was really upset.
Sunny started to lightly tap the glove Axel was holding up as she shrugged in response.
" Come on sunshine I know something is wrong . Tell me what made you lose your temper." He said as she punched a little harder. He felt her anger come out of her the same way Paul felt it with Avery.
" They were talking about momma being able to pay for me to be there. That I didn't have talent enough to be there sat i was ugly and fat and my hair looked like spilled food. They said I dress like I can't be rich and called me a talentless loser." said Sunny as she punched harder feeling the anger rise again inside her .
" Sunshine what did I tell you. Those are jealous words for jealous girls.they are trying to get in your head .You can't let them get in your head like that. They do it because you allow them to do it to you." Councilled Axel.
Paul stood back as he watched him with Sunny the way he used to get to Avery's temper. He saw his methods rubbed off on Axel. Paul grew concerned as he heard sunny talk about what was going on at dance class .
" They said you weren't my real father and how sad I grew up like that without a real father. They said my real father didn't love me enough to have one." Said Sunny as tears ran down her face in anger as she swung wild and Axel looked mad and shocked that the fight was her defending him.
Paul moved Sunny to hug sunny as he folded her arms over her chest and turned her to hug the sobbing little girl as he hugged her like he did to Avery many times to hold her still so she could cry it out and let it all go. He didn't want sunny associating violence with solving problems. Sunny struggled in Paul's tight hug as she let her tears flow as she couldn't move she did this until the fight wore her out . Paul held her in a tight hug until all the fight left her and she cried herself tired and went slack in Paul's arms.
Paul picked her up as he took her to Axel. Axel didn't realize she had that all built up inside of her . What she endured at dance classes. " Take her home. Let her sleep it off. Tomorrow after you calmed down go talk to that dance instructor about what happened." Advised Paul feeling like Sunny was also his daughter.
" I tried earlier the instructor was dead set on putting it all on Sunny. She removed her from the class roster ." Said Axel as he put a sleepy sunny in the back seat of the car as he closed the door gently not to wake her up .
" That's some bull shit. That's why kids feel trapped. Because the ones who are there to protect them are adding to the problem." Said Paul now angry at this revelation.
" I know it is . Hey man thanks for calming her down . I knew it used to work on Avery when she was younger to get it out like this." Said Axel gratefully.
" Axel. Don't let her anger be an excuse to fight. We should all see that as a last resort. We don't want her growing up thinking it's an excuse to work out her issues with a fist. She got removed from class and you did the right thing bringing her here to work it out. But I just don't want her to end up." Trailed off Paul in concern.
" Like Avery did." Axel finished the sentence as he understood Paul's reasoning. Avery never understood Paul's lessons on controlling your temper in a fight and not fighting when she was angry. Paul came to the gym over twenty years ago when he was in a dark place and the gym was his solitude. His peace.
It was like Sunny had two fathers instead of one as both Paul and Axel treated her like she was their own. Sunny was so good hearted and wise in her age . Very mature for her age as she saw the world so clearly. It was because she saw them clearly that it scared Paul. He was afraid she would grow a temper and didn't want her to grow up angry over the way the world treated her.
This fight in the ballet studio broke Paul's heart as he grew angrier every. Word she spoke. He felt like he was wronged with her being wronged. He wanted to give that instructor a peice of his mind but the damage was already done.
