Passage 60
Lexi smiled as she knew exactly how to hurt Sarah. Sarah had never been particularly close to Christopher's sisters who were triplets. Lexi knew that was a very powerful card to play to have the triplets on her side. They were all sophomores in highschool.
Allison always wore her hair straight with a ribbon as she loved her dresses and dressy shoes .she was an honors student as she was her sophomore class treasurer. Her nails were always done and she was in the national honors society.
Abby was the tomboy who wore blue jeans and baggie shirts and didn't like to wear makeup. She wore either tennis shoes or flipflops . She was a c average student and was into music mainly new age grunge . She hung out with all guys and very little females unlike her sister Allison who was very popular and had tons of friends.
Amber was a different breed she wore black mini shorts over fishnet stockings and a smashing pumpkins shirt cut off showing her skull belly ring on her pale navel . She wore knee high black boots and elbow striped sleeves as her hair was cut short on one side and shaved on the other side underneath . She wore black lipstick and a lot of eye liner and she didn't like people she had two friends and wouldn't be caught dead talking to either Allison or Abby's group.
Lexi had kept in touch with them like she promised when she was on good terms with Christopher. She used to go shopping with them from time to time and always kept her phone on important for the girls. She didn't think the girls had to suffer for her and Chris's breakup .
When Lexi was abruptly sent away being accused of horrible things she had no idea she was with child . It was her first semester in college that she realized what happened. She begged her mother to go back swearing she was going to talk to a boyfriend she had that was a good friend to Chad but her mother wouldn't have it.
Because she won an scholarship to the art school of her choice playing the violin she had to figure out how to afford daycare on her scholarship. She began posing as a nude model for art students for some money before her baby bump started to show. When the dean found out she was expecting he worked in a clause for her to be able to use the on campus family facilities.
She was always grateful for the dean for doing that for her to finish her school out to become a musician. When she had her small baby boy he looked just like Chris from his eyes to his hair even his nose and ears. She thought to herself how this was the only thing she had of his since she wasn't allowed to come around . She named him Christopher after his father in rememberence of her love once had and lost.
When she was due to come home for college during holidays she managed to convince her mother she had a full work scheduled plan and was staying at a friends place. The truth was she moved off campus as soon as the baby was born and had been hiding him from her mother knowing how she would assume it was chad's and make her give it up for adoption.
Because Braxtons didn't make mistakes they made improvements. Although her mom was born a kirkwall she fully embraced in the Braxton life style. It was common a good family marriage to another good family. If she would have brought Chris over they would disect him like a science experiment.
Not even the triplets knew about little Christopher. When she became an music critic and concert specialist she hired a nanny to take care of his needs while she traveled. She bought her a pent house and had an assistant to screen her calls to prevent her parents from just popping up at an random event with her son.
Lexi was over protected of her son. For obvious reasons. Now she figured out Sarah married her Chris she had the perfect tool to win him back and to get Chris notice her.
Lexi drove up to Jacob's house as she knew where it was . She decided now is the time Christopher met his father now all the crap was all out in the open. She rang the gate bell as the hummer met her at the gate. Lexi came in hand and hand with a small boy that was seven years old now.
Cassie was holding kensley on her hip as she was fixing some snacks for the kids and Chris was on a business call when he saw Lexi in the room. He looked at her like they never missed a beat. He concluded the call and crossed the room to meet Lexi after all these years.
" Lexi . How long has it been?" He smiled with his eyes as he greeted her. Then he looked down at the small boy that looked like him . He narrowed his eyes in thought as kennith was running around Cassie . Sure the kids took after Sarah but this kid looked like him.
He leaned down as he greeted the small boy." Hello and who are you ? " He asked the boy as he offered him a handshake.
" Hello sir." He said in a small voice. " I am Christopher Dayo Junior. It is very nice to meet you sir?" The little boy took his hand as he shot Lexi a look like he thought it was a mean joke.
" Oh holy shit." Did I hear that right!" Exclaimed Jacob across the room.
" Hello Christopher how old are you ? He quizzed the boy.
" I am seven years old . I will be eight in April . How old are you sir?" Asked the polite little boy as Christopher added the number up on his hands.
" I will be twenty seven years old . In April as well. What day?" He said now blown away by this little boy.
" April the fifteenth. " He answered proudly .
" Mine is April the sixteenth. We are one day apart Christopher." Said Christopher now clicking the dots into place.
" Of fuck. Does Sarah know about this, man?" Commentated Jacob in shock. Christopher wensed at his friend constant use of profanity .
" No she doesn't. No one does well until now. I've kept him pretty hidden didn't want to damage the Braxton name." Said Lexi studying Chris 's face. Christopher nodded knowing what she meant .
" I would say. That's a big thing to hide for seven years. That's an entire kid ,man." Jacob said coming closer." And he looks just like you too. You gotta feed this one. This one looks to much like you to let it starve." Joked Jacob .
" Oh Chris I didn't know you were married before Sarah ?" Stated Cassie. As she came out of the kitchen with kensley on her hip.
" I wasn't . Me and Lexi weren't married. We dated a couple of summers and she left." He said looking at Lexi disappointed she kept this from him. And a little hurt filled his tone.
" And the little dude is a junior to. That is awesome." Sang Jacob estatic." Well you just popping out babies like a tommy gun ." Jacob said as he bit into an apple as Cassie shoved him to shut up." What did I say." He glared at her mouth full of apple.
" Jacob." Said Christopher now adjusting to the situation. He had an another child . With his very first love. He knew he wasn't using protection with her because he loved her and they loved each other they were just in the moment both being their first time .They chose to lose it to each other.
" Last time I saw Sarah was last week when I left her in the floor. Right after she attacked me when we hung up. It was a mess you married one psychotic chick there." Replied Lexi.
" Oh double shit. She layed your old lady out." Praised Jacob." See I told you her crazy was simmering under the hot plate." Added Jacob as both Cassie and Christopher looked at Jacob as he shrugged his shoulders in defense.
" Jacob can you please stop that." Insisted Christopher.
" My bad man . I'm just wondering who finally stuck it to her I knew it was bound to happen and I'm sad I wasn't there to lay witness to it." Jacob said as Christopher shot him a look.
" Chris she admitted it all. She got me sent away for a rumor she started about me and Chad. Said we were kissing cousins. My bad her exact words was we three were experimenting with our open sexuality.My mom flipped out and wouldn't let me explain or say goodbye to you. When I found out I was with child . I was in college across the country." She explained.
" What the fu! Jacob yelled as Cassie Jacob covered his mouth in a muffled response as he was trying to prevent him from saying what he wanted to say.
" She did what?" Jacob bursted out in disbelief. As he pulled Cassie's hand away from his mouth and cassie tried giving Chris and apologetic look . As Cassie tried to pull Jacob away.
" Um hmm and that's not all either Apparently she did this to me and you to get a chance with you as soon as she could get me out of the way." She confirmed as Jacob screamed under his muffled hand obscenities that wasn't so muffled.
" I'm sorry Lexi . If I had known." Christopher started.
" It's all okay. In the past. There is nothing we can do about it now. She is your legal wife and you have kids. That's wonderful. I hold no hard feelings really I'm just upset she attacked me for talking to you." She said in a nonchalant manner.
Christopher's eyes softened as he realized the pain she went through alone raising a child all by herself from a man that moved onto her younger cousin. He felt like a complete douche bag at the moment. He really didn't know what happened between him and Lexi and always in the back of his mind wondered .
" Look are you and the kids hungry I know this great place on the strip it is out doors dining area and all the cutest little restaurant with the best Italian food. I was headed there with Christopher here and thought we could all make it a gathering . what do you say. Let the kids get some air and good food and Cassie and Jacob can come too." Suggested Lexi.
" We do need to catch up ." He admitted.
" I'm am so sorry." Started Christopher.
" It's all water under the bridge no worries Chris cross. Let's go . I have a craving for some spaghetti and meatballs." She said all chippery. " I'll drive." She offered.
They all got in her car as she looked in the rear view mirror as Lexi was setting up a sting. She knew Sarah and her mother went to the same restaurant every once a month since she was a teenager . Sarah was predictable . She wanted to be there first to see the look plastered on her face that Christopher was with her instead of his own wife. She pulled a dirty trick so could Lexi.
They pulled up and say in the area where the table was right behind her cousins usual spot. They ordered food and Lexi was holding kensley as Christopher junior was sitting beside Kenneth . The scene was right out of a movie . She glanced at her wrist watch as she saw Sarah pull up with Martha .
Right on time she thought as she fed Kinsley some food . She was going to show Christopher how jealous Sarah was. The kids would also see the basket case she was.
Sarah walked in her eyes a greenish bruise and a cut above her eye as she froze in place seeing Christopher with Lexi and Jacob and her kids and the little boy that looked just like her husband.
" Oh snap. Abort mission I repeat abort mission.crazy wife has entered the perimisis. Cide black code black .shit is about to get real." Yelled Jacob as he saw Sarah now.
" You promised me Christopher. You lying little ahhh." Screamed Sarah as she charged towards the table.
Christopher immediately looked at Lexi as he knew all too well how she would react towards Lexi. Now he knew the truth about the reason behind him and lexi's break-up. He glared at Sarah and Martha wondering how unlikely it was they coincidentally ended up in the same restaurant when there was an entire strip full of eating places. Christopher came to the conclusion that Sarah followed him there. To cause drama.
Since Regina Sarah had been extremely dramatic lately. She was the not the woman he fell in love with and now he knew it was her pushing their relationship before there was a relationship he didn't know if he was falling in love with the woman in front of him or the version of her she showed him to capture him as he felt like he was trapt in a marriage he had no idea he was tricked into.
But right now all he saw was the Sarah that lied to him. The Sarah that scheme against Lexi separating two lovers and for what envy , jealousy, obsession over a man who was dating her cousin. But now he knew he had another son and Lexi had to do it all alone . He felt obligated to defend his Lexi from his Sarah . With Regina it was different but here were two cousins who he both knew and they were acting like arch enemies as they stood on opposite sides of the family feud he have just now became aware of.
He felt like he was seeing the true Sarah for what she was instead of the perfect facade she allowed him to see to trap him in her web of decite.
Sarah glared at her cousin Lexi as she hadn't been in town one week and she was already moving in on her family. She looked over the group consisting of the friend she never thought her Christopher needed to be influence by and his bimbo of the week. She narrowed her eyes as she saw Kenneth sitting beside an unknown child and Lexi was holding her daughter Kinsley while feeding her spaghetti and Christopher sitting beside her.
The scene laid out in front of her was a glimpse into a future without her. A future where Lexi was the place setter . The very thought of Christopher being with anyone else except her was bad for her mental state of mind.
" you cheating liar. You promised you would never do this to me again." screamed Sarah tears in her eyes as she pointed at Christopher .
" Sarah calm down you scaring the kids." reasoned Christopher . As he looked around seeing if the other patrons were observing. The last thing he needed was this to get out of control.
" those are my kids you letting that tramp touch. How could you let her hold my kids. " she said now having a nervous breakdown." Christopher did I not mean anything to you now she is back in town." Scoffed Sarah as she grew angrier watching her daughter eating in Lexi's arms.
" they are not just your kids they are mine too. Lexi is their cousin too. Can family not visit with family, Sarah?" explained Christopher .
" You are over reacting like usual. Lower your voice we are in public,please." He said feeling embarrassed at her outburst.
" she is not family. She is an unwanted intruder and she should return back to what ever hole she crawled out of. Look what she did to my beautiful face , Christopher? She hurt me and your defending her . you are my husband not hers." cried Sarah hysterically .
" no one said I wasn't your husband. And you need to apologize to Lexi for what you said about her. You are acting childish over this entire situation. She is your cousin. You don't treat your own family the way you treat Lexi. Apologize Sarah right now. I'm fed up with your accusations ." he said fed up with the drama.
Jacob grabbed the complementry bread bowl and a small cup of honey butter and dipped in the bread peices in it as he ate it slowly watching the drama unfold. He savored each bite as he gawked at the fight unfolding before his very eyes. Cassie looked amazed at the drama and when she started to ask a question Jacob would shush her and and hand her bread to eat .
This was entertaining watching Sarah have an entire melt down in public. He was joking before about what he said that he missed the fight earlier but took full advantage of being a spectator in this one.
Lexi held onto kensley as she used the baby to torture Sarah and antaginze Sarah without saying a word. She smiled slyly as she kissed the top of kensley's head as she looked at Sarah.Sarah's nostrils flared and her eyes bore into Lexi as she held her daughter and rubbed in her face she had them.
" Lexi what do you have to say about this? I mean her accusation you bruised her face up when you don't have a mark on your face. I thought there was an actual fight." commented Jacob as he ate his bread mockingly. As he knew he was purposely being antagonistic.
" we did get into a fight. Well I did . I don't know what the hell she was doing in the fight or what she was calling a fight but it looked like a uncoordinated dance. Grasping air like she was falling." remarked Lexi. As Jacob busted out in laughter as he cleared his throat in apologies at Christopher as he glared at his friend antagonizing the situation.
Cassie bust out laughing at this statement them apologized for laughing about it. Sarah glared at the other woman. She covered her mouth immediately. Trying to control her reaction as she was just a fly on the wall in a fight brewing.
" and who is she the pass around tramp. How much did he pay you for your services honey? From the look of it your a high end one aren't you?" sassed Sarah,
" you don't know me like that . I don't know who you think you are to be talking to me like that. I absolutely have no problem choosing violence." said Cassie as she stood up and Christopher shot Jacob a look as he shrugged his shoulders . He grabbed Cassie's hand as she sat back down as Sarah smirked at the woman .
" hey man she started it. all Cassie did was laugh at an innapproprate time and all of a sudden she is a what did she call you a pass around tramp. A high end prostitute .I say if she can bark she should be able to back up the bite. " said Jacob not apologizing for Cassie's reaction to Sarah's rude unsolicited comments.
" Martha , can you take Sarah home before this blows out of porportion. " asked Christopher as the other patrons began to stare at the fight.
" No we have reservations." Shrieked Martha as she glared at Lexi as she knew this was a set up now as Lexi grinned and Jacob looked between the two woman figuring out what the two women already knew at that moment.
" I'm not leaving you with her as she plays house with my husband and my kids . She isn't anything but a man stealing Harlet with a bad hair cutt. where did you kidnap that little brat from to make my husband believe your lies." laughed Sarah no deranged . As she pointed at Christopher junior.
" Oh hell no!" Stood up Lexi handing kensley to Cassie ."that is enough you are about to get round two with me right now. you have no right to insulted mine and Chris's child. Leave him out of this. This is between me and you." said Lexi pulling off her earrings and handing them to Cassie.
" Christopher are you about to let her assault me?"cried Sarah as she looked at Christopher ." Look at her she is crazy and your not going to stop her. I am your wife ." Demanded Sarah as Christopher grabbed lexis hand as he halted her . Sarah noticed the gesture and her anger grew threefold.
"Sarah I'm just over it. you want to say things and expect people to take it and now someone is offended your the victim. I don't even know who you are anymore. We have been apart two weeks and your already acting like it's everyone's fault but your own. " He pinched the brim of his nose in frustration.
"I just I cant do this with you anymore Sarah. It isn't healthy for the kids. You need to seek professional help for these issues." he said exaughsted by her mellodrama.
" Chris . give me one reason not to hit her. Let me rearrange her face a little trust me it will be an improvement from her current one that looks like a bad version of a Deadpool without his mask." said Lexi stepping around the table towards Sarah. Sarah scoffed at Lexi calling her hideous and monsterous looking. Sarah knew she had scars on her face from the accident and the cuts from lexi's previous assult but the insult was too much for Sarah to handle.
" because your better than that. The Lexi I love was fun and kind and understanding . She wasn't violent or hot headed. I love that about you. . Sarah said a few hateful things but she is just upset I won't take her shit anymore or be her normal punching bag . Don't stoop to her level . Be the Lexi I know." said Christopher standing up to leave.
" come on Lexi lets go I'm tired of her and this place. Let Sarah be there is no point to talking to her like this believe me I know from many years of experience." he said as he gathered the kids up and pulled Lexi beside him to leave. Sarah watched as she saw all the group making there exit.
Sarah caught the subtle words of he still loved Lexi as Christopher used the present tense version of Lexi just now . Not a past tense of love one e lost in his words right now. All she heard was the words " the Lexi I love." Those words echoed in Sarah's head tormenting her like an invisible spear poking at her heart .
As lexi passed her she grabbed Lexi by the hair and yanked it as she Lexi tilted her head down in pain. She jerked her hair . She pulled Lexi back away from the reach of the group as Martha put herself between her and the group surging forward to stop them from interfering.
" I'm going to rip out your fake extensions like your fake personality." Hissed Sarah ." Stay away from my husband and kids you caniving peice of trash. Christopher is mine not your. He will never be yours as long as I live do you hear me." Said Sarah tugging on lexis hair as she yanked harder making Lexi scream a little .
"let go of her Sarah. Get your hands off of her right now. We were leaving. Now your provoking her by putting hands on her." said Christopher .
" you are not leaving with my kids and her." said Sarah as he held Lexi in place .she jerked her more as Lexi get her hair tighten around Sarah's hands. She was going to end Lexi Christopher was not going to take her back now she had married Christopher and he was hers thought Sarah as she tugged harder on lexis nape of the neck as she twisted her hair around her hand .
" look at you . The mighty Lexi. How do you like my claws now dearest cousin. He is mine and will never be yours ever again. Mmmmm he smells nice when he kisses me and make sweet love to me . You know what I'm talking about now don't you. He loves me not some lame heart breaking tramp?" Hissed Sarah in lexi's ear. Lexis eyes narrowed as the words slid across her ear as she knew it was meant to provoke her and to wound her at the same time .
Lexi had had it with her cousin as she stomped her foot as Sarah bowed back enough for Lexi to elbow her in the side as and Lexi moved her head to the hard left connecting it in a sideways headbutt as hard as she could as it busted Sarah in the face knocking her back and off balance as she gasped for air as the elbow to the side took her off guard and the sudden headbutt made her head hurt . Lexi saw the opportunity as Sarah gasped and released her cousin holding her face and her side as she looked up and Lexi uppercut punched her in the face as Sarah fell backwards and lost her balance flipping over the table and landed on the ground with a hard this.
All of a sudden flashes and clicks made all over the restaurant by all the other patrons phones as Sarah realized what was happening and was embarrassed again by Lexi.
" seriously. You fight like a damn girl. Hair pulling that is so lame.Come on Chris let's go." laughed Lexi .as she looked at her hair to see all of it was in place . " What are we in junior high. You crazy bitch." She said as she exited the room over it now.
" stop recording me! She took my husband." Screamed Sarah as she tried to charge the crowd full of phones . The manager came over as he witnessed the entire incident. " Stop please stop. I'm am the victim here she took my husband." Cried Sarah as she broke down in sobs.
" I'm sorry you need to leave." An older more well dressed man came to stand in front of the two women . Clearly he was the manager of this establishment. He said fed up. As he pointed to the door.
" but I have a reservation here every last Friday of the month . I always have since this establishment opened ." pleaded Martha as she felt offended they were being kicked out over a fight she thought Lexi caused being here with Sarah's husband. Martha used to make it a trio when Lexi was here in the summer as a girls day out . Martha knew Lexi knew what she was doing setting Sarah up like that.
" As of today your reservations and any future reservations has been permently revoked . you need to leave before I call the authorities. I don't want to see you here in this establishment ever again.please leave now!" Demanded the manager as the crowd applauded his words.
Christopher put the kids in the car as Jacob slid in the back seat with Cassie .
" dude did you see that shit. it was like off the rocker crazy. whoop whoop Lexi nice punch she flew like superman. We going to startcalling you Tyson from now on." cheered Jacob amazed by the scene he witnessed.
" I'm sure I won some real brownie points with Martha . She loves to hate me. Sarah was out of hand. come on Jacob that is enough drama for one day." he said as he got in the drivers seat after her opened the door for Lexi .
Lexi leaned against the window looking out as they left watching the restraunt crowd grow louder as she smiled at how well that planned sabatoge went. Lexi knew how much Sarah loved her mother daughter dates with the mother. good luck getting in any more restaurants after that show thought Lexi .
Sarah had an entire melt down in the matter of minutes . and now everyone had a recording of her breakdown. Sarah let out a cry as she was escorted out of the restaurant with a crowd booing her along the way.
Sure she might have overreacted , but Lexi put Sarah in the situation to overreact. She told Sarah she was coming back for Chris . Lexi didn't make idle threats. She made promises.
