Chapter 10: Trouble

Violet woke up the next morning and the ghost wasn’t there. She decided to skip the shower this morning because she was still emotionally drained from last night. She slipped on a flowery dress and some cute red Mary Jane’s. Her tummy was grumbling so she walked into the kitchen. She nearly jumped out of her shoes when she saw Terri and Ribero sitting on her couch.

“You both need to stop sneaking up on me.” She hugged Ribero and kissed his lips. Then she did the same to Terri. “Sweetie can you sit between us. We need to talk to you about something.” Said Terri. She sat down and laid her head on Ribero’s shoulder. Terri laid his head on her shoulder so she was sandwiched. “Fernando showing you his true side isn’t good. Now you can’t leave. He’s going to be very protective of you. You won’t be able to kiss us or do anything while he’s around. We have never seen him be like this with anyone. This is new territory. We don’t know what he’s capable of.”

“What am I supposed to do at the club if I can’t spend time with either of you?” She started tearing up. Ribero out his hand on her heart. It was racing. “Baby you need to calm down.” He tried using his charm on her. Nothing was helping. “It’s that pill. She won’t react to anyone now.” Terri kissed down her neck trying to comfort her. Ribero rubbed her head and kissed her lips.

She let out a small moan against his lips. They continued kissing her until her heartbeat slowed. She laid down in Terri’s lap. He ran his fingers through her hair. “She Is a wreck because of him.” Whispered Ribero. “Our sweet girl doesn’t deserve this.” “I know. My brother is cruel.”

Terri looked down and she was drifting off to sleep. “He must of exhausted her yesterday. Should we tell him she’s sick so she doesn’t need to come in.” He continues to whisper. “Then he will get angry that we were here. You carry her to the car and we will think of something.”

Terri lifted her into his arms and Ribero locked the door just as Fernando pulled up. They both got nervous. “Why are you both here?” “We came to pick her up so you wouldn’t have to but she’s exhausted. Are you sure there are no side effects to the pill? She doesn’t seem like herself.” Said Ribero. “I will look in on it but please lay her in my back seat. Also she’s my fiancé now. Don’t make a habit of coming to her house.” He put her in the car and he left for work.

Terri and Ribero got in the car together. “I hope she never makes him angry. I don’t want him to hurt her. I love her.” Terri started getting emotional. “I love her too. We will figure out something.” Said Ribero.

Fernando got to the club just a couple minutes ahead of everyone. Violet started stirring. “Hey my beautiful sweet girl. You can rest in my office today. Just take it easy ok.” He helped her out of the car and walked her discreetly through the back door of the club. He locked them in the office and she laid down on his bed.

He kissed her on her forehead and covered her up in a soft warm blanket. She forced herself to go sleep. Not wanting to face the day or him.

“Alexzander you must give me something in return for reanimating you. My magic and time isn’t free.” “My father is rich, I can give you millions.” “I want something money can’t buy. Your girlfriend is a virgin right? I’ve never been with a virgin and virgin blood is worth it’s weight in gold. I want to get some of her blood for my vampire king who will give me more than just money. I also want to do some other things.” An evil smile lining his lips. “That’s asking too much.” “I’m the best necromancer in the area. Someone else tries this and you may not live longer than a few hours.” He smirked at him.

“Fine you can suck her blood, maybe some kissing but she’s my future wife. I can’t believe the best necromancer is a bloodsucker.” “Good we have a deal. I’ll arrive tonight when no filthy Fae are around.” “Go to my father to collect the other half of your payment.” “Pleasure doing business with you.” “Niko the Necromancer went to Ivan to collect the money. Alexzander decided to rest so he would have the energy to manifest tonight.

“You better come through for my son or else.” Said Boris as he handed him a check for 3 million dollars. “Do not threaten me or I will drain you dry.” He said extending his fangs. Boris flinched a little. Niko left and went to prepare for tonight.

Ribero and Terri were talking in his booth. Away from the camera view. “I cancelled all my clients for today. I can’t face anyone. I’m too worried about her.” “Me too.” Replied Ribero. Yoshi walked over to them. “Why hasn’t our pretty girl been out today?

“Fernando has forbidden us from being romantic with her and he showed her his face.” “She’s in real trouble. If word gets out that our Fae King has found his mate, there will be others seeking to take her away from him. No one wants us Fae in power.” “Ill do whatever I can to protect her.” “I think we all would do anything for her.” Said Ribero.

Violet started waking up. “Hey sweet girl how are you feeling?” He softly kissed her cheek. “I haven’t felt good since I took that pill. My head is pounding.” “I’m so sorry. I’m going to find out what’s going on ok.” “I had a witch make a healing drink for now. Please try it. I’m hoping it helps.” She took the cup, her hand trembling. She swallowed the sweet tasting liquid. It was like drinking pure sugar. “That tasted awful.” He pulled her face closer and kissed her lips. “I love you so much. Thank you for staying with me.” “I don’t have a choice do I?” she started crying.

“You don’t want to be with me?” He sounded angry. “I want to be with you, it’s just we are moving so fast. I’ve also been through a tremendous amount of trauma.” Her voice cracking. He took a handkerchief out of his pocket and wiped her tears. “Baby I know it’s fast but you are my fated mate. Us being together will keep you safe and make us stronger.” “Ok.” She sighed as he wrapped his arms around her. She felt him rest his chin on her head.

“Soon we will be married and you won’t question me ever again. We will have a joyful life together. I have some business to attend to tonight so I’m going to have Ribero bring you home. I’ll pick you up in the morning.” He kissed her deep. She could feel his hot breath against her lips.

“I’ll see you tomorrow, I love you.” “I love you too.” She replied as she left his office. She walked out into the club and spotted Ribero talking to Terri and Yoshi. “Hi sweetie!” said Terri as he waved at her. She walked over to them. “Honey you don’t look so good. Can I give you a massage?” asked Yoshi as he got up to rub her back. “Mmm.” She breathed out a sigh of comfort. “I wish I could but he won’t allow me.” She said frustrated. He stopped rubbing her back and kissed her cheek.

“I wish I could help too.” Said Terri as he kissed her cheek. “I’m going to take her home. Hopefully she will feel better with some rest.” “We love you.” Said Yoshi and Terri in unison. She teared up. “I love you guys too.” Her and Ribero walked out of the club. They didn’t waste any time getting in his car and driving off. Once they were out of the view of the club, he reached over and held her hand. “But your brother said.” “To heck with my brother. I love you. I’m not letting you go.” She smiled at him and squeezed his hand. She laid her head on the head rest and closed her eyes.

Ribero, Terri and even Yoshi made her feel at piece. Fernando was pushy and made her jumpy. She was still unsure about the phantom. She loved him but lately something felt off.
