The dojo
Melina went to the woods as she waited for her hunter as it had been days since she came back from that trip in the woods since she had seen him. Her mother had become more strict on her since she couldn't keep mia or Paula under wraps as she would make it Melina's responsibility to retrieve her sisters from what ever house they were at at the moment. So Melina got to know the neighborhood well. She would cut through the woods to visit her friend Roxanne and another friend named Ashley and many other friends just by walking through the woods.
My mother had taken up many things to pretend to be a good mother to her new boyfriends daughter like she was a devoted good person but we all knew he was just her infatuation and she was playing at being a mom. Melina's mother spent more time trying to force a friendship with her daughters and her boyfriend's daughter Dana .
Melina would know right after school she would have to go to their house and place nice with the girl who screamed at her father when she didn't get her way . Then want to play softball as she went in the alley way to pitch convinced Melina enjoyed catching for her. Nothing says friendship like softballs being flung at your face at high speeds because she was the pitcher and she needed an involuntary catcher to get hit by her speeding balls.
It hurt Melina to see her mother making the effort to get to know Dana and Melina was right there and she didn't know what or who Melina was. It was like Dana was a shinny new toy and Melina was last years model collecting dust in a forgotten box.
One day as she was fed up with going to Dana's house to go play what dawn wants she got mad and sat in her mother's car as he mother refused to leave until she felt like it. As they were playing house inside with Dana . Melina had had enough of being told how and what she was going to play by another child as she stormed to the car and locked herself inside to get away from the atmosphere that she was subjected to. Melina got bored as she was hour there for hours before she decided to go through the glove box to look for paper and a pen to draw something on to occupy her time until her mother remembered she had another daughter in the car.
Melina pulled out a folded paperwork as she opened it and it was the paperwork from the results from our pelvic exams done before they went into the system as Melina read pages of a copied report she came across details of works such as intrusive tearing ,bruised ovaries ,pelvic bruising, swollen cervix as the report was in great details of the findings of that day Melina remembered being on that cold table that day. The flashbacks of the terror she felt as she remembered the table and the looked on the technicians faces that day came back to her as she read the reports on the results to her exam. Then she saw it. The possibility of the inability to produce healthy offspring in the future. The results were devistating. It detailed the possibility of a weak ovaries an the inability of the possibility of ever being able to have a normal pregnancy in the future. I couldn't have children according to this paper I held in my hand.
Melina was angry how careless her mother was as she left this in her glove box like it was a speeding ticket and not a report showing the extent of abuse. When her mother finally came out it was dark and Melina didn't say a word to her mother . She just knew her mother left evidence of her knowledge of knowing what happened to her daughters and yet she was playing house with another little girl as Melina cut her eyes at her mother and it was that particular moment she realized some people should never be given the rights to be a parent if all they were going to do was mentally and emotionally mess up the children they made.
One of these extra curricular activities she was trying so hard to make Dana like her with mother daughter activities like karate class. Melina had what you call it school bus boyfriends where they would be together on the bus bus never really hang out with each other more than that and a few visits with their parents watching them. One day Melina school bus boyfriend decided he was going to embarrass Melina and dump her calling her stupid,and stinky,and ugly as all the kids made fun of her as he dumped her on the bus.
Rodney was a boy of red head where he lived with only his dad and younger brother. They all ride the bus to school together and Rodney also was also in karate with dawn ,Paula ,and her mother.
Melina's mother tried to convince her to join the class and Melina didn't want anything to do with it and just wanted to read her book and be left alone. Rodney's dad was always nice to Melina and they exchanged pleasantries often as they waited for class to be over. When Melina's mom would leave the dojo she took it upon herself to make Melina her personal kicking bag. She would apply at home what she learned as she pushed Melina around trying to make her fight her telling her it was to teach her how to defend herself when it was straight up abuse of power.
This day Melina was embarrassed. And sat down wanting to read a book as the sin say said they didn't have enough sparing partners for the class and Melina's mother told her to get in the class even though she was not in the class at all .
" Leave me alone. I'm not in the mood to fight. " Thoroughly protested Melina as she knew she was in a bad mood as her mother persisted as she drug her to the floor area. Melina didn't lie she wasn't in the mood and wanted to be left alone as Rodney had embarrassed her In front of the entire bus two days prior . In truth Melina had did her fair amount of fighting when she was in the system prior and she didn't want to fight anymore because she was more scared of her short temper more than showing off a few rehearsed moves in a dojo.
Rodney stood in front of Melina as she smirked and still tried to sit down . But her mother held her there as Rodney made a face at Melina like she was going to cry as he jumped at her like he was going to hit her as Melina didn't flinch as she felt something dark building inside of her as she saw this boy who tormented her two days prior assist in making fun of her in front of her mother and no one stopped him.
The next thing Melina remembered was seeing red and screams erupting throughout the class as Melina began to take all the beatings she took from her mother she had been taking for weeks out on Rodney as she pleaded for her to stop and the sin say tried to stop Melina's vicious assult and he flew across the room as Melina swung around and struck him in her rage filled fight . When Melina came back to herself Melina,Dana ,and Paula,along with her mother was being escorted out of the dojo and told never to come back.
Melina looked at Rodney passed out on the floor unconscious as a very upset father stood over him. In her defense she did try to warn everyone she wasn't in the mood and this was the results. She had no remorse for a beating she warned them against in the first place.
" What was that great you got us kicked out of karate class. Way to go ." Yelled my mother. " I already paid the entire year too and we can't go back because of you. " She yelled.
" When I tell you I don't want to fight. I don't want to fight."said Melina as a hard slap went across her face for sassing her mother.
When Melina got home her mother pushed her as she said since she couldn't go to karate class anymore because of me I was going to be her karate class to pay her back for the money she lost because of me.
Like the point was stated earlier certain people shouldn't be allowed to have children if they are going to abuse their rights to be an adult. Her mother was going to use Melina as her personal punching bag because she got her one attempt at a mother daughter activities was ruined by her.
